Dr. Basu has served the corporate world for about thirty-four years. He was the Group Controller of Essar Group till June, 2013, preceded by the CFO of Reliance Communications Ltd. till August, 2008. Presently he is a full time Senior Professor & Programme Chairperson MBA Law of the NMIMS University School of Business

Management, Mumbai and also engaged in several research and consulting activities.

He holds a Master degree in Commerce and was awarded Ph. D. on Transfer Pricing by the Calcutta University in. He is a fellow member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost

Accountants of India. He is also the Member of the Board of Directors, as nominated by the National Skill

Development Corporation, Ministry of Finance, Government of India for Future Sharp Skills Ltd., Member

Gerson Lehman Council (GLG), USA and Alpha Sights, Hong Kong from January, 2016 for providing consulting

and advisory services and Associate Member of All India Management Association, New Delhi-Bombay

Management Association, Bombay and Life Member of Indian Accounting Association Research Foundation

Dr. Basu has been awarded ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the Sixth Edition of the Big CIO Show, a national level conference of CIOs organized by Trescon Global, Bengaluru. Received ‘Pinnacle Star’ Award from Essar Group for two years’ continued performance excellence in redefining organizational standards in leadership roles (2010). He has conducted numerous training programmes for professional institutes, Universities, IIM, Chambers of Commerce and MNCs and other Corporate. He has presented and published score of research papers, interviews, case-studies, conducted workshops in national and international level summits, conferences and conventions.
